Dear academic staff members' colleagues, cooperators, researchers, and postgraduate students,
It is an honor to be in charge of postgraduates' sector deeds at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – Suez Canal University, one of the ancient Veterinary Medicine faculties, and the most outstanding. For the second time, the faculty obtained the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education certificate.
Throughout the pack of postgraduate programs, we provide a unique educational model that matches labour market needs and contributes directly to solving problems and challenges society faces. As a result, this enriches the graduate with efficiency and skills. Moreover, it prepares him to compete locally and internationally.
Through this portal, I am glad to present the faculty's postgraduate programs, regulatory rules, summary, and section of the postgraduate sector's services and activities.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Suez Canal University, works on graduating veterinarians who are able to compete in the labor market and lead entrepreneurship to promote livestock and wildlife and preserve public health through distinguished educational and training programs aligned with the requirements of fourth-generation universities, as well as innovative applicable scientific research to achieve sustainable development goals for society, while upholding professional values and ethics.

The Central Laboratory consists of the following units:
HPLC unit:
The unit includes an HPLC system with a computer that is working efficiently and precisely to estimate the remaining amount of compounds such as (pesticides – veterinary toxins – antibiotics – hormones – proteins – fatty acids – vitamins and others).
Samples: the unit receives samples whatever their type and source (tissue – blood – soil – water) in processed form and valid for injection directly in the device.
Atomic Absorption 210 Spectrophotometer NGP Unit:
The device is used in the following:
Measuring the concentration of some elements such as:
- Aluminum
- Gold
- Iron
- Lead
- Platinum
- Silver
- Sodium
- Calcium
- Arsenic
- Coppersmith
- Magnesium
- Cobalt
Samples:
Measuring the concentration of the elements previously mentioned in the liquid state only and it can be also measured after dissolution:
- Urine
- Blood
- Tooth
- Fingernails
- Hair
- Muscle
- Liver
- Pancreas
- You can measure the elements also in the soil, aquaria water, and drinking water.
Microscopic Examination Unit
- The unit consists of a microscope with a camera. This microscope is used for pathological, histological, parasites, blood, bacteriological, and virological examination and the examination of tissue culture.
Electrophoresis Unit
- This unit is used to separate proteins and nucleic acid (RNA- DNA).
Elisa Unit:
The unit is used to diagnose:
- Microbial diseases
- Evaluating the immunity of animal and human
- Hormonal analysis
- Diagnosis of pregnancy
Feed Analysis Unit
- This unit is used to determine the percentage of (protein–carbohydrate – fat – moisture) in animal, cereal, meat, and fish feed.
Electrolyte Analysis Unit:
- This unit is used to determine the percentage of (sodium – calcium – carbon dioxide gas) in blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid.
Unit of Blood Cells Counting:
- This unit is used to count the red and white blood cells and platelet in addition to the percentage of hemoglobin.
