Unit Vision
The Scientific Research Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Suez Canal University, aspires to be a leading and distinguished committee in promoting and monitoring ethical research standards.
Unit Mission
The committee aims to ensure the rights, security, and safety of individuals contributing to any scientific research based on the principle of justice and to ensure that scientific research keeps up with the latest developments in all fields related to veterinary medicine.
Committee Tasks
- Reviewing all scientific research, master's and doctoral protocols, and research projects submitted to the committee and ensuring they meet the ethical standards of scientific research.
- Ensuring that all ethical standards are met when using animals in research studies.
- Considering issues related to research ethics and the use of animals, whether in educational processes or scientific research, presented to the committee.
- Deciding on complaints submitted by researchers in case of disputes among them.
- Reviewing and deciding on cases of misconduct in scientific research, such as scientific or financial dishonesty.
- Having the right to approve, request modifications, or stop any research protocol, resulting in the acceptance or rejection of the research at the beginning or during its implementation.
